Hu O'Reilly

Hu O’Reilly’s love for photography began in 1996 when he started a Diploma in Photography course in D.I.T. School of Photography (Dublin). He then spent six years working as an assistant photographer and in photo-shoot production. In 2004-05 he worked as a cruise ship photographer in the North Atlantic, the Mediterranean, the Caribbean and Brazil.

In 2006 he set up his photography business and is established as a leading wedding photographer in Cavan and surrounding counties. Hu works on major advertising campaigns for commercial clients including Lotto, Powers Whiskey, Oxfam Ireland, Trocaire, and FBD Insurance and on photo documentary projects in Chad, Nepal, Israel, Palestine, Mozambique, Thailand, Nepal and Rwanda. His photographs have been published in Ireland, Germany and the USA. His exhibition ‘Chad – Life in the Heart of Africa’ was on display in Cavan, Dublin, Limerick and Clare during 2009.

Hu is from Crosserlough, Co. Cavan and now lives in Dunshaughlin, Co. Meath with his wife Sinead, son Cuan and daughter Realtin.
