About the Author
Angus Mitchell is a writer and historian, born in Africa and educated in England, now based in Ireland. Since 1998, Mitchell has focused on the life of Roger Casement and associated anti-colonial figures, publishing key works including The Amazon Journal of Roger Casement and Sir Roger Casement’s Heart of Darkness. His research, which challenges the authenticity of Casement's controversial Black Diaries, has revived interest in Casement’s legacy as a human rights figure. Mitchell has curated exhibitions on Casement and lectured internationally, and his work has been featured in various academic and mainstream publications.
